A digital laser speckle decorrelation method is proposed for the study of diffusion in transparent liquid mixtures. The diffusion constants may be deduced by a simple manipulation of the speckle decorrelation patterns recorded during the diffusion process. Theory of the method as well as its application is presented.

Abstract
