Algunos ejemplos de hibridación genérica en el teatro de Lope: reflexiones al hilo de unas búsquedas en la base de datos Artelope

This paper investigates about partial overlappings between palatine drama and comedy, pastoral comedy, mythological comedy, even historical dramas, in some cases; overlappings that manifest themselves in the circulation of motives and plot situations, in names, in geographical settings, in characters; all of them can be identified by looking up the DB Artelope. On this way, the paper examines some questions related with the main issues, like the change in palatine comedy, the function of this dramatic genre in Lope’s promotional strategy as showed in Parte XVI, the shading off of semantic boundaries between words like pastor, villano, labrador. Finally, it studies the cases of urban comedies in which there is a shepherd or a rural environment, cases that almost always coincide with generic hybridization.
