We present a sample of 97 ultraviolet excess (UVx) QSOs (M(B) < -23) selected in the central 10 deg2 of the selected area 94 with B less-than-or-equal-to 19.9 mag. The color-color (U - B vs B - V) diagram has been used to identify 200 low-redshift (z less-than-or-equal-to 2.2) QSO candidates. 118 extragalactic emission-line objects have been spectroscopically confirmed, including 14 Seyfert (M(B) greater-than-or-equal-to -23) and 7 H II galaxies. The selection function of this survey as a function of the magnitude and redshift has been evaluated, corresponding to a total incompleteness of approximately 8%. The corrected computation of the QSO n(m) relation for z less-than-or-equal-to 2.2 is in good agreement with that of other surveys over all the common magnitude ranges.
