Abstract

Solar Technologies in housing are generally hosted on roofs, but roof dimensions are not directly proportional to the need of energy production of the apartments. This is particular true for multi-storey buildings. The paper will describe a solution developed for Solar Decathlon 2014, in the housing prototype called “RhOME” where production of electrical and thermal energy came from a system functionally integrated in every single apartment.
