This is the report of the Conference dedicated to the teaching of grammar in textual perspective held in Rome in February 2015 by ASLI Scuola, the section of the Association for the History of Italian Language recently established to set a closer connection between those who teach Italian Linguistic in Universities and those who teach in Italian Linguistic in Primary and Secondary School on first and second level. The author, coordinator of ASLI Scuola and organizer of the conference, in his Foreword deals with some general issues related to teaching; then, after a brief description of the Programme, reviews all the contributions with particular focus on those that have dealt with grammar topics. First, he deals with the reports and communications having a predominantly theoretical or methodological background; then, with the contributions presenting the result of concrete experiences carried out in the class or else offering teaching proposals. The hope is that there will be a renewal of the methods in teaching grammar to be framed in a wider textual perspective.
