This paper, starting aims to reflect briefly on some topics that characterize the European approach that started in the last ten years with the Lisbon Strategy, the European Employment Strategy (EES), the Bologna Process (and the European Area for higher education) and recently accomplished with the launch of the 2020 strategies. Those involved in training and development from a pedagogical viewpoint, but with openness to multidisciplinary dimensions. The theme of the growth must be interpreted and understood not only in a macro-economic perspective but also as a complex domain in which the anthropological demand achieves primacy and meaning. The reflection about the issue of role of universities is very important to implement the European countries’ growth of not only from economical and educational point of view but also from the issue of the possibility of construction of democracy.

Abstract
