A fragmentary bronze inscription found on the Appian Way (CIL VI, 31200) reports the decree of the Senate on the death of Drusus, son of Tiberius (23 AD). A review both of the text and the topography of the surrounding area makes it possible to evaluate the existence of an arch erected in honor of Drusus minor in that stretch of the Appian Way, in an area that was rich in memories of the Julio-Claudian family.

Abstract
A fragmentary bronze inscription found on the Appian Way (CIL VI, 31200) reports the decree of the Senate on the death of Drusus, son of Tiberius (23 AD). A review both of the text and the topography of the surrounding area makes it possible to evaluate the existence of an arch erected in honor of Drusus minor in that stretch of the Appian Way, in an area that was rich in memories of the Julio-Claudian family.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
