A reading of Nicole Loraux on the political in Ancient Greece. The new paradigm - connecting to the contemporary theories of authors such as Rancière and Badiou - is that "the strctural incapacity of the political in understanding violence" is rooted in the assumption that its origin is unitarian. The "Stasis" as well as sexual difference offer the clues to think again about politics and community starting from an originary "partage".
