The volume collects the results of a research coordinated by Anna Laura Palazzo that investigated the condition of urban-countryside in the area of Rome and of neighboring municipalities, whose fortunes are strongly determined by the presence of the metropolis. The essay in question presents the particular story of the Municipality of Formello, just at north of Rome, affected by those processes of suburbanization caused by the strong presence of the capital city. The study, in particular, investigate the anomalous transformation of a portion of the territory of Formello that, unlike the rest of its territory, was not affected by the dynamics of territorial erosion and dispersion of settlement , but has kept its original agricultural character. It dates back to the Agrarian Reform.
Il volume raccoglie i risultati di una ricerca coordinata da Anna Laura Palazzo che ha indagato la condizione di campagna urbana nel territorio di Roma e dei comuni contermini le cui sorti appaiono fortemente determinate dalla presenza della metropoli. Il saggio in questione presenta la particolare vicenda del territorio del Comune di Formello, immediatamente a nord di Roma, interessato da quei processi di suburbanizzazione fortemente causati dalla presenza della città capitale. Lo studio, in particolare, indaga la anomala trasformazione di una parte del territorio di Formello che, diversamente dal resto del suo territorio, non è stato interessato dalle dinamiche di erosione insediativa e dispersione edilizia ma ha mantenuto gli originali caratteri agricoli. E risale ai tempi della Riforma Agraria.
