The purpose of this essay is of defining the deep meaning of Georges Simenon’s explorations of Africa, through reading of his novels and reports on African topics. I aim at demonstrating that Simenons’s search of the “Naked Men” largely coincides with self-exploration and transposition of inner conflicts.
