The book covers an extensive series of studies conducted on the Valle Giulia area of Rome. It talks about its environmental system, which is already installed and functional, but also of the historical, architectural, vegetative, geomorphological and infrastructural components that constitute the perceivable character of this historical urban environment. The essay of Francesco Ghio is dedicated to the most urban state of the Flaminio district, which is currently being transformed and requalified. The main historical transformations and strategies that were adopted for the recovery of this urban sector are described.
Il libro presenta una ampia serie di studi sullarea di Valle Giulia a Roma, attraverso la lettura del suo sistema ambientale, insediativo e funzionale e delle componenti storiche, architettoniche, vegetazionali, geomorfologiche e infrastrutturali che costituiscono i caratteri percepibili di questo ambito urbano storico. Il saggio di Francesco Ghio è dedicato al più ampio ambito urbano del quartiere Flaminio, oggi in fase di trasformazione e riqualificazione. Di questo settore urbano vengono descritte le principali trasformazioni storiche e le strategie messe in essere per il suo recupero.
