The research project aims to collect the methodological knowledge of non-conventional transport systems. The non-conventional transport systems can usually offer good performance on medium to short distances (not exceeding 5/6 km) and are able to connect strategic urban zones or high-density areas (business centers, universities, large shopping centers, health centers, etc..) as reliable adduction services. In particular, the project analyzes the technical and economic conditions to introduce an innovative transportation system (IT) in an urban area where there is actually the university of Roma Tre. This University is characterized by several sites far from each other of a distance varying from about 500 m to few kilometers. The innovative transportation systems are preferable applied to widespread demand distributions with special concentration in a few hours of the day. The innovative transportation systems allow to realize a public transport service not necessarily bound to maintain a minimum level of supply throughout all the day, that is typical of the traditional public transport systems.

Abstract
The innovative transportation systems allow to realize a public transport service not necessarily bound to maintain a minimum level of supply throughout all the day, that is typical of the traditional public transport systems.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
