The paper presents an overview of the Italian restoration in the last decades of the twentieth century, taking as its starting point the theory of Cesare Brandi. Analyzes the different types of intervention on the historic buildings and verify the impact that those conceptions have had in Italy and abroad in the current practice of architects and restorers.
Il saggio presenta un panorama del restauro italiano nelle ultime decadi del Novecento, prendendo come punto di partenza la Teoria di Cesare Brandi. Analizza le diverse modalità d'intervento sull'esistente e verifica l'influenza che tali concezioni hanno avuto in Italia e all'estero, nella pratica corrente degli architetti e dei restauratori.
