Abstract
The path that marks the presence of sociology in Italy is reconstructed in a substantially shared. Historical studies converge in fact in considering this matter can be divided into at least four stages: the age of positivism (1870-1920), the fascist era (1920-1945), the years of birth (1945-1960), the growing season and consolidation (after 1960). Historical reconstruction, however, there seem to be some significant gaps. While the ways in which the discipline has been proposed since the Second World War are regularly outlined, the research work conducted on the development that sociology has known since the end of the nineteenth century to 1945 seems to have only partly rebuilt the variety and complexity of framework. Many of the issues that have marked this period, therefore, remain poorly understood. This observation builds on this book, which presents a series of essays on controversial issues and undeveloped paths of Italian sociology at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
