The Interpretation of Saussure's Cours de linguistique générale in China

The book presents the diffusion and interpretation of Saussure's Cours de linguistique générale in China. In the first chapter a brief overview of the Chinese history of linguistics is provided, with particular attention to the periods when European main works on linguistics were introduced. The second chapter includes the analysis of the Chinese translations of the Cours, mentioning the terminology issue and specific passages. In the third chapter, the debate on the Cours main principles and notions is reported.

Il volume illustra la diffusione e l'interpretazione del Corso di linguistica generale di Ferdinand de Saussure in Cina. Il primo capitolo ripercorre brevemente la storia della linguistica cinese soffermandosi sul periodo in cui vennero introdotte le maggiori opere della linguistica europea in Cina. Nel secondo capitolo vengono analizzate le traduzioni cinesi del Corso, commentandone la terminologia impiegata e specifici passaggi. Il terzo capitolo presenta il dibattito avviato in Cina sui principali nodi concettuali e principi della linguistica saussuriana.
