The book analizes the relationship between infinte and finished in Hans-George Gadamer and starts from a new exegetic concept: music. The themes of music are a leading wire in the reflections about the dialectic between Logos and language and in the ones about the relationship between Good and Beauty. The book takes in exam the fundamental elements that charachterize Gadamer’s umanism, and specifically his relationship with with renaissance-christian developments of essential platonic themes ( M. Ficino and N. da Cusa). Pointing out these historical-theorical features the book proposes an innovative interpretation of Gadamer’s hermeneutics.
