REPRESENTING THE LANDSCAPE. Methods, tools and procedures needed to analyze and represent the landscape This manual faces the theme related to the representation of the landscape by following two parallel paths; the first concerns the technical awareness relating to the representation, which involves an in-depth examination of the history, and the other relates to the application of the various graphical techniques depending on the objectives that have to be reached in terms of the analysis of the territory and of the communication process pertaining to the landscape project. Theory and practices are confronted with the objective to transmit and stimulate the public's sensibility towards the observation, awareness, representation and interpretation of the landscape and its composing elements. The importance of the technical representation choices concerning the natural elements directs the attention towards the graphics that have to be used, but also towards the techniques that must be put in practice (ink, pencil, color or other) and especially towards the sensations the observer feels towards the representation of a landscape.
