Integration of Superconducting films on semiconducting substrates is an important issue for microwave electronics. In order to study the performances of such structures, we perform numerical simulations of the surface impedance of YBa2Cu3O7-d (YBCO) thin films grown over Silicon (Si) substrates. We find that it can significantly differ from the value given by bulk superconductors Zs=(im0w / s)1/2, where s is the complex conductivity. We start from the full expression for the effective surface impedance of layered structures, as given by standard impedance transformations [1] :

Abstract
Integration of Superconducting films on semiconducting substrates is an important issue for microwave electronics. In order to study the performances of such structures, we perform numerical simulations of the surface impedance of YBa2Cu3O7-d (YBCO) thin films grown over Silicon (Si) substrates. We find that it can significantly differ from the value given by bulk superconductors Zs=(im0w / s)1/2, where s is the complex conductivity. We start from the full expression for the effective surface impedance of layered structures, as given by standard impedance transformations [1] :I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
