Abstract
The stand “Stereotomic Design. Evolution: from the hand to the robot” located at the Marmomacc 2014, represents the summary of these studies which are still in progress. Parabolithic, as the name suggests, is essentially a lithic hyperbolic paraboloid and is designed in two variations: one is more massive (Raystone) made by lithic perforated blocks compressed by steel cables that are placed at the contact points between one block and the other, and another variation (Vela), shaped by white Carrara marble triangles and then hooked up to a steel cables network with the task to discretize the paraboloid surface itself.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
