Food industry in Italy has its own peculiarities, among which the absence of an independent Authority directly responsible for regulating/supervising it and for the enforcement of the by-laws. But it is one of the most emblematic sector for analyzing the problems originating from expansion transnational regulatory systems (global and European) and for verifying the impact of regulatory policies on subjects of policies: domestic regulator, public administrations, food business operators and consumers.

Abstract
