Abstract

Body as place of poetry, body as image, body as a landscape. Reading Artaud's experience and by connecting it with dance and performing art, it is possible to explore the lines of convergence between memory, imagination, history, language and corporeality. The relationship between body experience and culture became a dialogue between life and expression that use personal and collective memory to approach something invisible and unspeakable. What is the language of this dialogue and how it can be transcultural? When body stopped to be the figure on a landscape, the character of a history, the substitute of a verbal communication, it can became a landscape, the source of the memory, the matter of poetry. As in Antonin Artaud writing and theatre, and in Tatsumi Hijikata dance.
