The volume is a brief guide to the exhibition of the same name, promoted by the Vatican Museums together with the Old College of Saint Ildefonso in Mexico City. The visit itinerary illustrates the works exhibited, ranging from the birth of the Catholic church, up until the pontificate of Pope Francis. Works of art, liturgical objects, relics and documents narrate the evolution of the Catholic church, through the most significant events in its history.
Il volume costituisce la guida breve all'omonima mostra, promossa dai Musei Vaticani insieme all'Antico Collegio di Sant'Ildefonso di Città del Messico. Il percorso di visita illustra le opere esposte, che vanno dalla nascita della chiesa cattolica, sino al pontificato di papa Francesco.
