The article analyses and compares two French novels centred on the theme of shipwreck: La Tour d'Amour by the writer Rachilde, set in the lighthouse of Ar-Men, Brittany; Seule la mer s'en souviendra, by the navigator and writer Isabelle Autissier, who reworks the events of the famous shipwreck of the English skipper Donald Crowhurst. The article aims to show how the theme of the shipwreck goes beyond its literal meaning, becoming instead a way of talking about deep issues linked to the feminine and the vertigos of the word.
L'articolo analizza e confronta due romanzi francesi incentrati sulla tematica del naufragio: La Tour d’Amour della scrittrice Rachilde, ambientato nel faro di Ar-Men, in Bretagna; Seule la mer s’en souviendra, della navigatrice e scrittrice Isabelle Autissier, che rielabora gli eventi del celebre naufragio dello skipper inglese Donald Crowhurst. L'articolo vuole mostrare come la tematica del naufragio oltrepassi il proprio significato letterale, divenendo invece un modo per parlare di problematiche profonde legate al femminile e alle vertigini della parola.
