The contribution intends to outline the academic identity of Fanny Giambalvo, full professor at the University of Palermo and refined scholar of general pedagogy, philosophy of education, aesthetic education and children’s literature, paying particular attention to the writings on the genesis and structure of the Sicilian fairy tale and on Pinocchio from which extremely significant hermeneutical and methodological paths emerge. Alongside the activity of cultured and rigorous literary criticism, the aim is also to present the cultural and human significance (between “granite and rainbow”) of the scholar’s autobiographical narrative, which began in 2008 as a tensional element of a pedagogy as self-care through the labyrinthine paths of memory.

Abstract
The contribution intends to outline the academic identity of Fanny Giambalvo, full professor at the University of Palermo and refined scholar of general pedagogy, philosophy of education, aesthetic education and children’s literature, paying particular attention to the writings on the genesis and structure of the Sicilian fairy tale and on Pinocchio from which extremely significant hermeneutical and methodological paths emerge. Alongside the activity of cultured and rigorous literary criticism, the aim is also to present the cultural and human significance (between “granite and rainbow”) of the scholar’s autobiographical narrative, which began in 2008 as a tensional element of a pedagogy as self-care through the labyrinthine paths of memory.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
