The paper focuses on the importance of Green Belt and Metropolitan Open Land MOL to feed London. The Green Belt and MOL perform multiple beneficial functions: growing food, making positive contributions to biodiversity, flood prevention, climate resilience, and access to nature. Providing land for food growing helps to support farming and agriculture, to create a sustainable food network for the city, to support the local economy, and to reduce the need to transport food. There are also longer-term biodiversity benefits, and farmers adopting agri-environmental stewardship schemes are more likely to deliver good environmental practice. In London the Mayor prioritises the need to feed the city of tomorrow starting from the protection of agricultural land. The investigation field is supplied by the different strategies adopted giving specific solution in term of policy and design parameters to protect agricultural activity in the new London Plan. The paper will discuss all sets of innovations introduced which have the potential to reshape the lifestyle and working patterns of urban residents, and to assure sociospatial justice

Abstract
The paper will discuss all sets of innovations introduced which have the potential to reshape the lifestyle and working patterns of urban residents, and to assure sociospatial justiceI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
