This volume collects the works presented during the 9th Spring school in Chinese Linguistics, held at Roma Tre University in 2014. Started with the aim of training young scholars and advanced students interested both in the Chinese language and in linguistics, the Spring School has been supported since its first edition in 2006 by the European Association of Chinese Linguistics (EACL). The contents of the courses are collected in these pages, whose aim is to present some issues of Chinese lexicology, pragmatics and syntax in order to provide the readers with the basic notions, works and topics of the field.
