The International Bamboo Construction Competition 2019 (IBCC 2019) is the first-ever international competition focusing on bamboo construction, encouraging students of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Landscape related majors to explore the potential of bamboo as a construction material. For IBCC 2019, approximately 500 students from 30 countries participated in the competition and submitted 70 designs in total. Four of 15 finalists realized their design at INBAR Garden and others presented their design concept to the jury. Based on those articles shared by students in the book, this chapter summarizes four key outputs and three global impacts of IBCC 2019 from the perspective of the organizing committee and opens a discussion on future perspectives.
