Born global companies are characterized by an early and accelerated internationalization process wherein the entrepreneurs' backgrounds and networks play an important role. However, this process is also the result of the exploitation of several external resources available in the environment in which the companies reside. Recently, in the field of international business, several scholars started to question themselves about the role of ecosystems in the internationalization process of born global companies. Ecosystems are characterized by the presence of dynamic and interacting systems and subsystems and they are described as facilitators of innovation. By adopting the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem's perspective, the book explores the support of ecosystems in the internationalization process of born global companies by focusing the attention on the systemic elements, underlining the importance of several factors affecting the speed of internationalization of these companies.
