Word and utopia in Gianni Rodari. Rereading Gianni Rodari’s 100 Years from his Birth

The international research, entitled Word and utopia in Gianni Rodari. Rereading Gianni Rodari’s 100 Years from his Birth, is part of a reflection arising from the celebrations in 2020 for the hundredth anniversary of Gianni Rodari’s birth, with particular regard to the effects of the word (literary, poetic, but not only) that bears witness to a transformative intentionality with its deep meanings and creative, ideal and political tension. In this sense, Gianni Rodari’s work is topical today in its proposal of a children’s literature that makes language a cognitive and interpretative tool, and that helps readers assume a critical and divergent perspective through imagination.

Il contributo, illustrato nell'ambito della giornata della ricerca dipartimentale 2021, intende presentare la ricerca svolta in risposta alla First Call for Papers Transformation and Continuity: Political and Cultural Change in Children’s Literature from the Past Century to the Present Day, promossa in previsione della 15th International Child and the Book Conference, 24-26 March 2021, Berlin, Germany e ospitata dalla Freie Universität Berlin, Department of Education and Psychology / Primary Education - German Didactics. Focus della ricerca è l'impatto che la produzione di Gianni Rodari ha impresso nella letteratura per l'infanzia attraverso l'uso creativo e trasformativo della parola per l'assunzione di una prospettiva critica e divergente e la figurazione di un mondo più equo.
