Georges Hébert, father of the Natural Method of physical and moral education, codified the processes of adaptation, of the means used by human beings in their natural state to acquire their integral development. In nature, for the simple need to survive, to face dangers, to overcome natural obstacles to get food, the human being becomes "viril", or energetic, courageous, resistant to pain, and without realizing it develops the qualities that Hébert defines action: energy, willpower, courage, composure and steadfastness. Since the Natural Method is intrinsic in man's nature, what was valid for men could be transposed to the female universe, arguing that physical education could reduce the gap between the two sexes. We can conclude that Hébert has left us an undeniable life lesson where the purpose and potential of physical education are an empirically effective and scientifically supported tool for achieving the integral development of all men, women, and children.

Abstract
We can conclude that Hébert has left us an undeniable life lesson where the purpose and potential of physical education are an empirically effective and scientifically supported tool for achieving the integral development of all men, women, and children.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
