The paper examines the question of cemetery planning as an opportunity for a broader reflection on the relationship between architecture, city and landscape and the role of the architectural project in the modification of a territory. In particular, the analysis of some sacred structures by Sigurd Lewerentz (1885-1975) allows us to explore a key moment where Swedish architecture emphasises some of its more distinctive traits compared to the wider contemporary European context.

Abstract
The paper examines the question of cemetery planning as an opportunity for a broader reflection on the relationship between architecture, city and landscape and the role of the architectural project in the modification of a territory. In particular, the analysis of some sacred structures by Sigurd Lewerentz (1885-1975) allows us to explore a key moment where Swedish architecture emphasises some of its more distinctive traits compared to the wider contemporary European context.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
