In this article I renew some of the reflections published as results of my latest research in the monograph El desafío pedagógico en tiempos de pandemia. Memoria y derechos humanos entre Argentina y Mediterráneo desde un aula virtual (2022), focusing particularly, in this occasion, on the movement of the archive of memory and migration (of human beings and memory), through the awareness of the place of enunciation. I therefore propose to investigate these movements by recurring to a series of reflections that arose from a group of students attending the postgraduate course –“Archivos de la memoria”– that I taught in the midst of the pandemic emergency. At the beginning and throughout this course, in line with the desire and urgency to broaden, in diachronic and geographical terms, the categories of memory and human rights, we wondered: what does it mean to weave relations, in an Italian university course, between the traumatic recent Argentinean past and the current disappearance of migrants in the Mediterranean? How are these reflections framed in a context of on-line didactics imposed by the health emergency? The work carried out spontaneously by the group of students I accompanied on this difficult, unexpected and, at the same time, stimulating and enriching pathway, consists of the activities presented in this article.
