Abstract
Urban VIII's urban development policies and the cloistered promotion strategies promoted by Anna Colonna-Barberini contribute to enhancing the Trastevere district, and in particular the processional axis of Via della Lungara. Anna Colonna, wife of Taddeo Barberini, is one of the most influential noblewomen of Barberini's Rome. She wisely employs the financial wealth and the family prestige to give rise to the foundation of the carmelite monastery of Regina Coeli. The story will fulfill only in 1654, after the Barberini’s exile in France and the end of the damnatio memoriae, thanks to a skilled diplomatic activity, supported by the use of Teresian relics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
