Introduzione

This volume reads and comments on the reasons for a cultural proposal aimed at giving intensity to a current idea of pedagogical humanism; above all, it identifies absences and abdications in order to make mistakes and delays visible, to suggest approaches, strategies, objectives that can no longer be ignored with new generations of pupils and students. The first part achieves this objective by observing the cultural and socio-cultural background that is an inevitable reference for that proposal, by reading the space, the time, the lexicon of pedagogical voices; the second part examines and comments on the idea of care in different educational settings, discovers the connections between the reasons for educational care and the reasons for a pedagogical humanism; the third part looks at spaces, times, places, realities of the absence, that is, it shows, deduces and suggests the need to think about the meaning of human and educational care in terms of sustainability.

L’intero volume legge e commenta le ragioni di una proposta culturale impegnata a dare intensità a un’idea attuale di umanesimo pedagogico, soprattutto rileva assenze e abdicazioni per rendere visibili errori e ritardi, per suggerire approcci, strategie, obiettivi non più trascurabili con nuove generazioni di alunni e alunne, di studentesse e studenti. La prima parte realizza questo obiettivo osservando lo sfondo culturale e socioculturale che per quella proposta è inevitabile riferimento, leggendo lo spazio, il tempo, il lessico delle voci pedagogiche; la seconda parte accoglie e commenta l’idea della cura in setting educativi diversi, scopre le connessioni fra ragioni della cura educativa e ragioni di un umanesimo pedagogico; la terza parte guarda a spazi, tempi, luoghi, realtà dell’assenza, cioè, mostra, deduce e fa dedurre la necessità di pensare al senso dell’umano e alla cura educativa in termini di sostenibilità.
