The volume is the catalogue of the eponymous exhibition held at the Faculty of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Its aim is to promote the knowledge, conservation and enhancement of a heritage of great architectural quality that has been established over a century and that, today, constitutes the very identity of the Contemporary District, an urban nucleus, which is proposed as a new cultural itinerary that joins those known from Roman antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Baroque and that is capable of proposing the image of a contemporary Rome at a national and international level. The selected works document crucial stages in the history of Italian architecture and engineering but, at the same time, bear witness to decisive passages in the recent evolution of the country and its capital. They represent the excellence of a rich urban context, characterized by the extraordinary landscape of the Tiber and composed of residential complexes, infrastructures, parks, sports facilities, cultural centers, works of art. A true open-air museum waiting to be discovered and valued as a recognizable and configured part of the æternal City.

A true open-air museum waiting to be discovered and valued as a recognizable and configured part of the æternal City.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
