This paper deals with the Aktionsart of Latin light verb constructions formed by verbs such as facio and habeo / teneo, and motion nouns. In particular, the article aims to establish to what extent facio can be effectively considered as a telic light verb, and what the differences are with regard to the selection of habeo and teneo. The findings of the study show that the selection of light verbs responds to requirements of aspectual compatibility. Facio is the light verb that has the widest use. Unlike do (not considered here), it may co-occur with bounded and unbounded states of affairs, but it presents some constraints concerning bounded activities. As regards unbounded nouns, facio partially overlaps with habeo and teneo, which differ in the features of dynamicity and control.

Abstract
As regards unbounded nouns, facio partially overlaps with habeo and teneo, which differ in the features of dynamicity and control.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
