Giuliano Dati (1445-1524) was a Florentine priest and a cultural mediator between Florence and Rome. He wrote a number of works, especially “cantari”. In particular, the paper will focus on the Stazione, indulgenzie e reliquie [...] di Roma (1492-1493), a text illustrating the sacred Rome of the second Fifteenth century, with references to the tradition of the Mirabilia Urbis Romae. Although Stazione has been recently edited (2004), this paper aims at investigating the printed tradition and properly situating the “ottave” in the "network of knowledge” of the Fifteenth century.
