This paper sets out the results of the inter-university research project INT4CT, funded through a competitive call of the Lazio Region DTC, coordinated by the Department of Architecture, Roma Tre University. The aim of the research was the development of an integrated digital system for knowledge, active conservation, dissemination and safe use of heritage and landscape. In this scientific context it was possible to produce the prototype of a webapp designed to constitute a digital museum of the city of Rome. The main thematic lines on which the application focuses are the various manifestations of the permanence of antiquity in the processes of formation and transformation of urban fabrics and architecture and the museum presence in the Roman context, starting with the phenomenon of antiquarian collecting. Indeed, this important cultural practice has contributed to defining the image and the evolution of the historical-urban landscape. An ideal place to experience in detail the effects of such processes is the seat of the Museo Nazionale Romano at Palazzo Altemps, the historic home of a largely dispersed collection of ancient statuary, 'reintegrated' with the famous Ludovisi collection in order to build a museum that illustrates the collecting phenomenon in relation to architecture and the city.

Abstract
An ideal place to experience in detail the effects of such processes is the seat of the Museo Nazionale Romano at Palazzo Altemps, the historic home of a largely dispersed collection of ancient statuary, 'reintegrated' with the famous Ludovisi collection in order to build a museum that illustrates the collecting phenomenon in relation to architecture and the city.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
