Over the last two decades, the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) have garnered significant attention from researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders worldwide. By creating jobs, stimulating commerce, and enhancing cultural vibrancy, CCIs act as pivotal drivers of cultural innovation, fostering social innovation by enhancing community well-being and resilience. In the European context, CCIs are increasingly acknowledged as engines of regional growth and revitalization due to their multidimensional impacts on social, cultural, and economic landscapes. Scholars increasingly underscore the pivotal role of CCIs in promoting the social and economic development of nations. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development emphasizes the importance of social innovation and cohesion in achieving its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Among these, reducing gender inequalities and fostering female entrepreneurship are key priorities. Female entrepreneurs hold a pivotal position within Cultural and Creative (CCIs), yet significant gender disparities persist. By examining the current state of research on women’s participation in CCIs, this review seeks to map the state-of-the-art of the discussion of female entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative sector.

Abstract
By examining the current state of research on women’s participation in CCIs, this review seeks to map the state-of-the-art of the discussion of female entrepreneurship in the cultural and creative sector.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
