L'Empowerment delle donne al tempo di papa Francesco

The essay explores the various areas in which Pope Francis has brought about change in the Church by enhancing the capabilities of women. He has also elaborated on many theoretical and principled reflections to exalt the role of women like Mary and, as he himself has stated, their superiority even over bishops. On the more practical level of empowerment, the Pontiff has called many women to assume senior roles and responsibilities in important sectors of the Curia and dicasteries, as no other pontiff has done. Is there a future for women in the Church? A process has begun that cannot be stopped.

Il saggio affronta gli ambiti diversi nei quali Papa Francesco ha operato dei cambiamenti nella Chiesa valorizzando le capacità delle donne. Molti sono stati anche le riflessioni teoriche e di principio nelle quali è intervenuto per esaltare il ruolo delle donna come Maria, e, come egli stesso ha affermato, la sua superiorità anche rispetto ai vescovi. Sul piano più pratico dell'empowerment, il Pontefice ha chiamato molte donne a ricoprire ruoli apicali e di responsabilità in settori importanti della curia e dei dicasteri, come nessun altro pontefice aveva fatto.
