This contribution illustrates possible interpretations of Marx’s insights from the perspective of recent scientific approaches, such as structuralism, dynamic systems theory, chaos theory, and statistical physics. Marx’s dialectical method highlights how the relationships between the parts of a system can only be understood by understanding the relationships between the parts themselves and the whole. From this point of view, labour value is an emerging property in economic systems characterised by an unplanned social division of labour, and the law of value takes on a meaning similar to that of the laws of conservation in physics.

Abstract
This contribution illustrates possible interpretations of Marx’s insights from the perspective of recent scientific approaches, such as structuralism, dynamic systems theory, chaos theory, and statistical physics. Marx’s dialectical method highlights how the relationships between the parts of a system can only be understood by understanding the relationships between the parts themselves and the whole. From this point of view, labour value is an emerging property in economic systems characterised by an unplanned social division of labour, and the law of value takes on a meaning similar to that of the laws of conservation in physics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
