The article examines the historic centers in the province of L'Aquila, after the earthquake that struck the Abruzzo region in 2009. It focuses on the characteristics and value of building materials and pays attention to construction and restoration techniques used to strengthen buildings in recent years, that, in many cases, had proved been ineffective and harmful to the conservation of historic structures in the event of earthquakes.
L'articolo prende in esami i centri storici "minori" della Provincia dell'Aquila, in seguito al sisma che ha colpito l'Abruzzo nel 2009. Si sofferma sulle peculiarità e il valore dei tessuti edilizi e presta attenzione alle tecniche costruttive e di restauro impiegate per consolidare gli edifici in anni recenti, rivelatesi in molti casi inefficaci e dannose per la conservazione delle strutture storiche in caso di terremoti.
