The research line we are carrying out here, within the Tempus DEMED project tries to develop themes related to the need of identifying a structure for distance learning teaching which leaves aside temporary solutions and, to this aim, we will deepen topics linked to the need of giving correct interpretation of the word innovation, singling out directions on how to build effective teaching tools, not disregarding the cultural dimension behind them. The system developed for the Tempus DEMED project represents an attempt of applying the concepts to be investigated and discussed above. This system contains elements which take into consideration the need to relate processes and contents and allows the user to build his/her own learning environment according to what the learning needs and objectives imply. Multilanguage dimension of the platform, moreover, let every actor involved participate in his/her own mother tongue, overpassing obstacles due to communication problems occurring among subjects coming from different countries. Thanks to the technological tools available, teaching materials can be presented through different forms and channels.
La linea di ricerca che viene esplorata nel presente contributo, e relativa alle attività svolte nell’ambito del progetto Tempus DEMED, cerca di sviluppare tematiche connesse al bisogno di identificare una struttura di riferimento per l’istruzione a distanza che metta da parte le soluzioni temporanee e, a questo scopo, approfondiremo argomenti legati al bisogno di dare una interpretazione corretta alla parola innovazione, identificando le direzioni su come costruire strumenti didattici efficaci, senza perdere di vista la dimensione culturale sottointesa. Il sistema sviluppato per il progetto Tempus DEMED rappresenta un tentativo di applicare tali concetti. Il sistema contiene elementi che prendono in considerazione il bisogno d i mettere in relazione processi e contenuti e consente all’utente di costruire il proprio ambiente di apprendimento secondo quelli che sono i bisogni e gli obiettivi di apprendimento . La dimensione multilingue della piattaforma, inoltre, lascia che ogni attore coinvolto partecipi, utilizzando la propria madre lingua, superando ostacoli dovuti ai problemi di comunicazione che si verificano tra soggetti provenienti da paesi differenti.
