An analytical-numerical technique is presented to solve two-dimensional scattering of a plane wave by a set of circular cylinders in the presence of a reflecting plane surface. Such method stems from the representation of cylindrical waves diffracted by each cylinder in terms of plane waves and allows the problem to be solved for both conducting and dielectric cylinders, for a wide class of reflecting surfaces, regardless of polarization state. Numerical examples pertinent to different research fields are presented.

Abstract
An analytical-numerical technique is presented to solve two-dimensional scattering of a plane wave by a set of circular cylinders in the presence of a reflecting plane surface. Such method stems from the representation of cylindrical waves diffracted by each cylinder in terms of plane waves and allows the problem to be solved for both conducting and dielectric cylinders, for a wide class of reflecting surfaces, regardless of polarization state. Numerical examples pertinent to different research fields are presented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
