We report on measurements of the magnetic flux variation produced by the transition from the superconducting to the normal state of thin-film indium dot arrays subjected to a perpendicular magnetic field. The study was carried out measuring the superheating-supercooling hysteresis curve of the arrays by means of a first order gradiometer of 3 cm3 volume coupled to a dc-SQUID. With this setup we also measured the signal produced by the individual dot flipping, in the perspective of using these arrays as microcalorimeter particle detectors.

Abstract
We report on measurements of the magnetic flux variation produced by the transition from the superconducting to the normal state of thin-film indium dot arrays subjected to a perpendicular magnetic field. The study was carried out measuring the superheating-supercooling hysteresis curve of the arrays by means of a first order gradiometer of 3 cm3 volume coupled to a dc-SQUID. With this setup we also measured the signal produced by the individual dot flipping, in the perspective of using these arrays as microcalorimeter particle detectors.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
