Differences Of Grammar Categories And Diachronical Description : About A Grammar For Italian Universities A new French grammar conceived for Italian universities (F. P. A. Madonia et A. Principato, Grammatica della lingua francese, Roma, Carocci, 2011) aims at developing a reflective approach to the grammatical rules, introducing them within the frame of the grammar system and explaining their historical origin. This book should stimulate the reflection on different categories employed for French or Italian, as well as on the common roots of several phenomena and exceptions in phonetics, graphematics and morphology.
