The aim of this work is to present the research activities developed by the Roma Tre University DiPSA, together to the Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri “Servizio Sismico Nazionale” during the last year on the theme of the Italian Historical town buildings preservation from seismic damage risk. The product of the research activities is a G.I.S. which consists in a informatics system of structural and typological buildings documentation connected to investigations about the cultural and the seismic characteristics of the places in which they are localized.
