The study concerns a survey on the quality of school planning documents, such as the school plan, the school budget and the “union bargaining plan”. It tackles their effectiveness as organisa- tional tools in the school autonomy framework, investigating teachers’ perceptions. A group of 188 Master’s student teachers were interviewed using a blended questionnaire where they were asked to assess the impact of the three planning documents on school everyday practice. Two sets of data were therefore collected, concerning a) respondents’ per- ceptions on their own “familiar” schools and b) respondents’ perceptions on the “new” schools (373 schools in total). The relevance that teachers assign to the planning documents as effective guidelines to educational practice draws attention to how important it is to carefully prepare them in a shared way and to engage in a continuous updating process.

Abstract
The relevance that teachers assign to the planning documents as effective guidelines to educational practice draws attention to how important it is to carefully prepare them in a shared way and to engage in a continuous updating process.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
