Aiming at promoting paremiological research and disseminating the richness contained in Colección paremiológica, which was purchased from librarian Melchor García Moreno in 1922, the Historical Library of Madrid, collaborating with the UCM Research Group 940235 Fraseología y Paremiologíal, the French Language Department, the Faculty of Librarian Science (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and the journal Paremia, organised the International Seminar “Colección paremiológica Madrid, 1922-2007”, at the Museo de los Orígenes (Museum of Origins) – Casa de San Isidro- from 26th to 28th September 2007. This seminar was arranged by Ma. Carmen Lafuente, Julia Sevilla Muñoz and Fermín los Reyes Gómez.
