In recent years globalization has radically changed the conditions and contexts in which industrial districts operate. Our study marks the return to a central role of the firm, especially the medium sized one, in shaping the internationalization strategy of the industrial district. Starting from this statement the paper analyzes economic and legal implications, making a comparison between Italian and Polish case.
